With Autumn quickly approaching (3 more days!) my style palette is moving toward cozier and richer layers of color and patterns. The forecast calls for a high of 80 degrees in Michigan today but the crispness to the air and crunchy leaves beneath our feet are within reach. A new wave of inspiration always hits when the temperature drops just enough that I can stylishly add a layer of clothing, layers of new texture and color start showing up in my garden and fragrant layers of apple and maple and fresh air waft through my Autumn inspired interior selections moodboard featuring layered Scott Group Studio rugs, an oversized sofa, plaid wingback chairs, Hermes Avalon blanket and whimsical sconces.

In the tone of fall and layering I thought a moodboard might be in order and the Hokanson Broadloom pattern, “Blythe” lays the perfect foundation. Constructed of 100% wool, this carpet in the Midnight colorway would look awesome wall to wall or as a larger custom cut laid atop hardwood flooring. Go ahead and add our Scott Group Custom Carpets Blacksheep pattern over top for that extra layer of luxurious comfort. Originally designed for our Borders Collection, Blacksheep is a hand-tufted wool carpet produced in our Grand Rapids, Michigan mill. See more of this collection on our Virtual Sample Library. These two layered rugs set the stage and bringing in a few other luxury items round out this cozy space.
